Nan Palmero shares thirteen photos from Marfa, Texas. These pictures are photographed with the Samsung NX30 Smart Camera.
Marfa – such a peculiar place. A dusty little Texas town, backdrop for great movies including “There Will Be Blood,” “No Country for Old Men,” and “Giant.” Deya and I took a weekend trip out there to try some delicious food, experience quirky art and spot oddly dress people that I SWORE were members of Arcade Fire. Here are thirteen photos from Marfa, where everything is art – even a dog walking around in a bar…maybe.
A brick oven is a magical device where no matter what you cook in it, your food tastes 10,258,647x more delicious than any other heating element can provide. Once our bellies were full of delicious pizzas, we strolled around downtown Corpus Christi in nooks and crannies to find parts we hadn’t ever seen.
There’s little more that I love in life than getting on an airplane and shooting photos of a new city. At times, San Antonio gets left out, mistakenly. Here are thirteen photos of my beautiful city to help you remember your own backyard.
Logitech UE sent Nan Palmero to Austin City Limits 2012 to report from the festival. Here are his photos and story from ACL.
The best part of entering contests is winning them. This time, I won two tickets to Austin City Limits from Logitech UE, makers of the rockin’ earbuds that nerds and musicians love alike. Check out the photos, then click over to the Logitech UE site to readmy story about the great bands we saw. A huge thank you to Logitech UE for the awesome experience!
I dashed from San Antonio to the ranch. I’ve made this trip more times than I can count, but this time I stopped to shoot the interesting exceptions from the once desolate roads. Before, it would be unusual to see a dozen cars shuffling country folk. With the lucrative discovery of dinosaur juice in the middle of nowhere, the trip is more laborious. Dodging tankers, company men and the potholes they brought along has changed the countryside. Neighbors bank accounts have increased like the trash littering our paths. Enjoy the progress.
